About Us

Wendy Keller

In the realm of words and ideas, Wendy Keller stands as an advocate for the power of language to improve and transform lives. She began her journalism career as a newspaper reporter at the age of 16, worked for PR Newswire, and eventually became the associate publisher for a Spanish language weekly newspaper in Los Angeles. Wendy became a literary agent for screenplays in 1989, then switched to representing only nonfiction books in 1992.  She added a speakers bureau in 1995 after seeing how much publishers want to buy books from speakers who can promote them.

A Legacy of Success

As the founder of Keller Media, Inc., Wendy has orchestrated an impressive 2,000 rights deals globally, including 19 New York Times bestsellers and 11 international bestsellers. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her unparalleled ability to nurture talent, work diligently, and identify compelling content that will have broad appeal to readers.

Multi-Faceted Expertise

Wendy’s expertise extends beyond her role as a literary agent. She is an accomplished author in her own right, with 31 traditionally published books under nine names, and a clutch of self-published books too. Wendy has presented +400 live keynote speeches, programs, workshops, trainings; and dozens of virtual ones. She has been featured in the pages of prestigious publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun Times, and The London Times. She has appeared on 57 US television programs including Dateline NBC, Dr Phil, and CBS The Early Show; and more than 500 radio shows and podcasts around the world. Her unique perspective as “the talent” helps Wendy guide Keller Media’s authors and speakers toward their own success.

Cultivating Important Voices

Written or spoken, words matter. Whether it is a business book that has the opportunity to help someone grow their business, feed their family, hire more employees, and contribute to the economy; a book that illuminates an interesting or valuable aspect of science; or a self-help book that will soothe someone going through a difficult patch in life, Keller Media chooses books that are important in the world.

A Passionate Advocate

The ability to have influence in the loud modern world is based on the power of a strong, growing platform. Wendy’s unique personal history of journalism, PR, media savvy, content perception, sales experience, and literary acumen allow her and her team to transform people with worthwhile ideas into sellable entities. Each contribution by each author or speaker adds to the body of knowledge of the human race, and has value.

Beyond the Page

When not immersed in the world of words, Wendy enjoys hiking, Pilates, rowing, and international travel. Her love of languages (Italian, French, Spanish and a smattering of others) and passion for archaeological studies reflects a mind ever curious about the evolving human story in all its forms.
