Alex Schnitzler Bio
Alex Schnitzler has always loved the word. He wrote his first short story, "How Christopher Columbus Stole the Golden Turkey," at the ripe age of seven. Later, he graduated to features and news editor on his award winning college newspaper, The Corsair. He then worked as an article researcher for the San Francisco Focus magazine, before moving on to receive his undergraduate degree in history at UC Berkeley. He worked for five years as a literacy and writing teacher for learning-disabled children in the Los Angeles Unified School District, and has worked as an adjunct professor in the Santa Monica College English Department teaching writing.
Alex served as editorial director for ForthWrite Literary Agency where he helped writers shape and refine their manuscripts for publication. His strength as an editor helps writers find the core of their narrative, while maintaining the strength and spirit of their vision. His unique patience guides writers and their words into vigorous forms of self-expression and clarity of content. Alex recently received his MFA in Creative Writing at Antioch University and is hard at work on his first novel.
